Artist's Comments

in the bubbles (in french) :

- please be quiet -
- speak plainly -
- there are some deaf people who can talk -
- can`t understand a bloody thing -

* the idea of this picture is to reflect a common conflict between people --> that they/we often don`t listen to eachother and thereby misunderstand...

Every breath that is in your lungs,
Is a tiny little gift to me.
:iconajisaiyousei:
exactly.
the point of the picture is that people often don`t listen to eachother. and thereby misunderstand.

:iconsecretcake:
hm maybe I was just talking and didn't understand that's what you were intentionally going for. I'll be quiet now haha

I hear ya!.. which i assume i do, or maybe i don't... oh the joy how much the individual could reflect on this. Truth upon those who listen, or the illusion made by.

Sometimes people misunderstand or show "knowledge" that they don't have on other impairments. I was once asked if I kept my insulin for my epilepsy (it is over a decade since my last seizure, by the way) in a fridge - when of course, it is not something I take. What is the Estonian word for "hearing aid"?
:iconajisaiyousei:
mhmh. i guess it shows superficial attitude.
but i don`t want to act as some kind of a judge ... because patently i`m not.
basically the picture reverberates a question.

thank you for your thoughts. :aww:

hearing aid in estonian is: kuuldeaparaat

:iconmlst:
No, I would not say it is "superficial attitude" - it is more a case of people showing false "knowledge" when they don't know about disability or impairment matters. Is "kuuldeaparaat" pronounced as it is spelt?
:iconajisaiyousei:
yes
